SGT Belcher

Exciting news...

I wanted to write a little note about Brian's promotion! He has been working non-stop, taking college classes on-line, and studying so hard for his promotion while over seas! Last night I called him on my way home after work and asked him if he heard about the promotion. He said: "I wanted to wait until you were home," which made me slightly nervous, "but I got the promotion!" I'm so proud and excited for him... and for me (more shopping! woot woot!) ;-)

Congratulations SGT Belcher!

Keep up the good work!

Love you!

Making plans...

Brian and I are getting ready to PCS (?), lets pretend like I understand military talk... in other words... we are getting ready to move to FLORIDA!!! Brian already has his new job and a date to start there... meanwhile, my search for another new job begins now... happy, happy, joy, joy!

Anywho! Brian asked me to make a list of all the things we should do before we go! Well one page wasn't enough! There is so much to do in CO that we haven't done! Along with CO I also want to travel around this side of the states before we go back to "our" side! ;-)

This is the list so far... I recently penciled in 4 CORNERS at the bottom... Brian told me it was too far. I'm going to work on that one because I've been saying I wanted to go there ever since we moved to Colorado!! By the time Brian gets home from being over seas we won't have that long to do all the things on the list plus get the house ready to rent or sell... looks like it is going to be a busy summer!!

LoVe...long distance!

While we are on the subject of skype... my other favorite person to skype date with...
my husband!

While Brian has been deployed the only fun we have is skype dating which involves: life planning via skype, bill paying, being silly, gossiping, crying, eating, work stories, day events, my favorite - skype kisses goodnight...

Awhile ago... I snapped some photos of him being silly with me! There was a song on and he was rocking out! If he looks at this blog... I know I am in so much trouble... but I love these pics... they make me laugh and just show how much fun we have with each other even over the many miles that keep us apart!

...can't wait for him to get home...

Fishy Kisses

I LOVE skype! How did we live before SKYPE!? The only positive to being far away from family is video chatting! I LOVE that my sisters have jumped on board with their children; because if you can't be with them the next best thing is seeing the lil ones (and sisters) on video and hearing their sweet lil voices!

Today I skyped with Alicia and Gracie girl! Grace was super serious today... but I know she is going to be a chatter box like someone else...

Momma & Baby Gracie girl

Grace was so sweet and kept hugging her Momma... listening to her silly Auntie and watching busy Max & lazy Maggie in the background...
Grace <3
I can't wait to show her that we used to have "skype dates" when she was a baby!

Fishy kisses to Gracie girl,
Love, your Auntie!

Your valve is turned all the way up... you need to turn it down!

"A good friend is a connection to life - a tie to the past, a road to the future, the key to sanity in a totally insane world."

Recently my BFF Mems, aka O, and I talk every day! We joke about how disgusting it is because we can't make it through the day without speaking numerous times. To the point where I'm starting to feel lost if one of us doesn't call the other! After all these years of being friends, neighbors, long distance late night calls from college... we now are having the most important conversations of our lives... still miles apart... still best friends!

I asked for advice on how to make this blog different... Mems told me I had to put the stories up! We have so much "material" I could sit here and write all night! We've decided we have so much to share that no one really does with twenty something year olds... important life advice... stay tuned for more...

Future G & O!
Only BFs will take a pic in the movies with you and then tell you no more! ;-)

My Best Friends Forever
August 2009

We may have lived on the wrong side of the tracks... but I know with our friendship we will always be OK! ;-)
Colorado 2010

Love ya girl!

Time goes by... Lets catch up!

It's been a long time since I have last posted... trying to decide what to do with this blog. *ideas to make it more interesting?! please share!*

Lots has happened since my last post in July! Lets catch up!

Hubby hubs hubs and I celebrated our 1 year anniversary in August!
8-17-2010
Brian's parents came to visit us in September '10!
This is all of us at Garden of the Gods!

We traveled to a new part of Colorado - GOLDEN, CO!
We went to the Coors brewery... afterwards, the first of every month they close down the street - there was food, drinks, craft stands, stores/boutiques, horse and carriage rides... it was a great day! Brian's cousin Phil and his fiance Tiffany joined us.
Later in September I had all four of my wisdom teeth extracted at once - ouch! Thank goodness Brian was there to take good care of me! At the time - I didn't think I looked that bad... haha! Brian said it took all he had to help me change the bloody gauze in my mouth... (I don't think he will be going into nursing this lifetime... ;-) hehe)

Blackhawk trip with hubby hubs hubs and my puffy (no more wisdom teeth) cheeks!

Then Hubs soon deployed... ;-(

I went back to MASS in November to see my family and friends!

I met up with the friends at Kings in Boston for some drinks and bowling!

I visited with Carrie & Paul...finally met baby Jack and played with LP!
Mom and I drove to LI, NY for one night while I was back on the east coast to visit Alicia & Chuck and for me to meet my niece Gracie girl!

I traveled to NY for Christmas 2010; where I finally met another lil niece of mine, Olivia. (There have been lots of babies born in the 'Kilmartin' Family.)

In January my cousin JP came to visit me in CO! We took pics at a different location at Garden of the Gods where I haven't been in my past visits there!

I traveled to SC because I became a first time God Mother to Livy girl in February '11!
(I'm very proud of this!)

Phew...is that it?! I am so thankful for my husband and my family! It has been a long journey with Brian over seas. Looking back there is a lot that I can be happy about during this time.
My goal with this blog is to keep a record for Brian & I, of all our adventures since we left MA together in August 2009. We have so much to be happy and thankful for and I want to share that with all of our family and friends. I have always loved photos and looking back at all the memories over the years. However, I'm hoping that with this blog my story telling will improve. ;-)
...Off to learn the art of blogging... :)
